Acrylic painting on canvas board. February 2023.
Painted this portrait for Steph. It is A4 size and oils on acrylic on canvas paper
Tamsyn's grandma sadly passed away during lockdown. I painted this picture for her, showing grandma in her favourite place, with her ginger biscuits, cup of tea and her reading glasses case. It is acrylic on canvas paper, 20" x 16".
This is a study in oils from photographs, using strong natural lighting. It is deliberately reminiscent of Leonardo's 'Mona Lisa'.
Emily and Lydia are my twins. I asked them to imagine that Emily had found a real live fairy in the garden and that she was showing it to her sister for the first time.
This painting shows my lower 6th Art History group. Fiona is not shown in the picture but she exists in the title.

Daniel is my youngest son and his relationship with our dog, Gemma, is far from straightforward. They are, of course, friends. Not for sale.
Students approach education in many different ways depending upon their life experiences and their personalities. This painting explores this notion, using some of my ex-pupils as models.
